SAG Vehicle Support
 "SAG" stands
for "Support and Gear." We thought we'd
better put this definition in first since no one seems to really know what the
acronym "SAG" actually stands for!
SAG Vehicle support is like an
ambulance service for you if you are not able to ride. It will come to your
location on the road to assist you in emergency situations
where you are unable to ride at all times while the
times the route is officially open.
When a professional bicycle mechanic is travelling
with us, he will be part of SAG Vehicle Support
as the primary provider
of all mechanical services on the
road. Other SAG vehicles will not perform mechanical
repair services
themselves and will only come to
your location on the road if you are unwilling to
wait for our mechanic to arrive there himself.
In this case the SAG vehicle will transport you and
your
bike to the rest stop
the SAG vehicle
departed from and you must wait
for our mechanic to assist you
there.
All assistance from SAG support vehicles will be logged to ensure quality
future SAG support.
