Mid-Route Stops

LocationsCoordinating With Long Distance Public Transportation Carriers

Mid-route pick ups (before the start) and drops offs (after the end) on the transportation route may be available as part of our regular transportation services. All mid-route stops must be scheduled in advance, and not all transportation services will have mid-route stops.

If you do both a mid-route pick up AND drop off you will need to pay for two separate transportation services both before the start and after the end of the event. Unfortunately we cannot offer you a discount if you take both transportation services because we have the same costs regardless of where your initial arrival or final departure spot is and we will not be able to fill the space for your bike and baggage with someone else's.

Locations
Mid-route pick ups and drop offs will be done at only one predesignated location for each stopping town. Preferably, this location will be very close to our main transportation route so we can quickly get off and back onto the highway, such as at a gas station at an interstate exit with lots of lunch options so participants can get lunch and we can also fill up our vehicles with gas while we are stopped. Doing so helps save time and ensure a timely arrival in the arrival town.

Specific information about the mid-route stop locations for each specific transportation service will be listed under the specific information for that transportation service.

Coordinating With Public Transportation Carriers
When participants travel aboard a separate public transportation carrier, we will arrive at the pick up location before the bus or train and at the drop off location after the bus or train arrives. That way we can deliver your items to you directly and they are never left unattended. Only stopping at predesignated locations also helps ensure that we will arrive well before the train or bus does for mid-route pick ups or shortly after the train or does bus for mid-route drop offs.

If we need to stop at any mid-route drop off locations, we will always arrive at the arrival town after the bus or train does because we have to stop at the mid-route drop off location after the bus or train has already arrived there.

How to Meet Us for a Mid-Route Pick Up
Arrive at the pick up location with your bicycle and baggage and wait for us to arrive. After we arrive we will load your items onto our vehicles and you will need to go the bus or train station in that town and board the bus or train when it arrives. If you drove you will park at the parking location for that town, otherwise you will need to arrange to be dropped off.

How to Meet Us for a Mid-Route Drop Off
After the bus or train arrives, pick up your car if you parked it in that town, otherwise you will need to arrange to be picked up. Go to the drop off location and wait for us to arrive and unload your items from our vehicles.
