We will transport all bicycles ourselves on a separate moving
Before they can be loaded after the end of the event, every bicycle
to be transported must have two separate
identification tags attached. These tags will be supplied in your registration
materials and will significantly help identify which bikes should be
loaded amid the the throng of other bicycles at
the central rest stop location that shouldn't be loaded after
the end of the event. Identification tags will not be required for any bicycle
that we are not transporting
from Champaign to Chicago after the end of the event.
We require two separate tags in case one comes off in transit
and the tags should be placed as far apart from each other as possible
to minimize the chance that both would come off at the same time. If you
are initially meeting us in Chicago, we require that the tags are attached
there to prevent individual loose tags from getting lost or forgotten in
a piece luggage buried at the bottom of a pile at the end of the event.
It will be your responsibility to make sure that your bike
has the appropriate two required
baggage delivery tags on it. If a tag comes off in transit or during the
event simply let a staff member know and we will give you a new one.
